
Welcome to the website of the Health Innovation and Tourism Cluster ”Health Resorts of the Pearls of Eastern Poland”.
The Heath Innovation and Tourism Cluster ”Heath Resorts of the Pearls of Eastern Poland” was established on the basis of a contest announced by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development within the framework of Operational Programme Development of Eastern Poland 2007-2013.
This cluster contributes to the development of the Eastern Poland macro-region by exploiting the potentials of enterprises and towns as well as health resorts and communes, thanks to competitive cooperation (coopetition). Competitive cooperation of entities within the framework of a cluster, thanks to the synergy effect, facilitates access to resources (materials, services, technologies and information), enables mutual complementation in realization of certain functions, helps in learning, and contributes to the increase of competitiveness, innovativeness and prestige of the entities within the clusters.
The range of this cluster’s activity involves three Voivodeships of Eastern Poland: podkarpackie, świętokrzyskie and lubelskie. The members of the cluster are: health resort communes and enterprises, universities and business institutions.
One of the most important aims of the cluster’s activity is to create and promote innovative, integrated tourist products, including elements of SPA tourism (healing and curative), active tourism, ecotourism, cultural and congress tourism within the macro- mezzo- and micro-region.
The main objectives of cooperation within the framework of the cluster is to create innovative, complete tourist products consistent with market requirements, promote one brand common for both product and cluster, popularize a positive image of Eastern Poland health resorts, and to exchange experiences as well as promote the best practices and the idea of clustering.
An important element of the cluster’s activity is shaping hospitable space in health resort communes and its adjacent areas by cooperation with competent entities in the area of Eastern Poland health resort communes, in order to provide:
- Land management
- Aesthetic tourist information panel system
- Unlimited access to tourist complexes, especially for disabled people
- Friendly attitude towards newcomers – tourists, health resort visitors, what seems to be a specific characteristic and a trump card of Eastern Poland inhabitants.
Organizers of the Cluster also want to cooperate in the health resort development and revitalization process.
The cooperation of the cluster’s entities is implemented in 5 main areas:
Area 1. Development of organizational communication
Area 2. Enhancement of qualifications
Area 3. Increase of innovativeness
Area 4. Internationalization of activity
Area 5. Promotion of activity



The Academy of Management and Administration in Zamość was established in 1997. It trains about 3500 students in 9 fields on two levels of university studies – bachelor (1st degree), master (2nd degree) as well as postgraduate courses.
A town in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodship, about 50 km away from Kielce and 80 km away from Cracow. It is a medium-sized healing resort, situated 220- 250 m above sea level in the scenic valley of the Nida River, on the southern slopes of the Pińczowski Curb.
A town in the eastern part of the Subcarpathian voivodship. A small healing resort situated 260 m above sea level in southern Roztocze, surrounded by gentle forested hills.
